Summary:In 1798, Schleiermacher translated two volumes of Joseph Fawcett's 1795 sermons from the English. The text is presented synoptically. In 1799, together with Henriette Herz, Schleiermacher translated Mungo Park's report from the same year on the discovery of the Niger River, titled Travels in the Interior of Africa. The text translated by Schleiermacher himself is presented synoptically, with the rest in German version only.
