Description
Summary: | This documentary revisits five women suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder. We met them last six years ago in an earlier film (Borderline Syndrome: A Personality Disorder of Our Time) about this controversial diagnosis. While the first film concentrated on clinical issues, this new production allows us to see the gains they have made in personal functioning. Today, each of the women lives independently. Each talks about her progress and the ongoing struggle in coping with the draining emotions associated with the illness. By inter-cutting with the earlier footage, the film shows the evolutionary changes at work in their lives. Their candid accounts of their experiences will provide insight to mental health professionals.
