Summary: | In this programme, Jo Owen visits an experienced deputy head to find out if she has the skills and the motivation to take on headship. Philomena Cozens is Deputy Head at St Clere's School in Essex. Capable and committed to her school, Phil is undecided whether to remain in her role as deputy, or whether to apply for headship posts at other schools. To help her find out, Jo sends Phil to spend a day with an inspirational leader. Sarah Weir, Executive Director of Arts Council England, is a visionary whose motivation is evident in everything she does. Will a day spent with Sarah prompt Phil to reconsider her journey to headship?To find out, Jo brings Phil before a carefully selected panel of education experts chosen from governing bodies, industry recruitment and outstanding schools.
