|a TAP OR DIE is a feature-length documentary that tells the story of master hoofer Derick Grant. He brought in the funk with Savion Glover and now he's determined to bring his own hip, rousing show -- Imagine Tap! -- to Broadway. It was a hit in Chicago, but the show faces a convoluted course of obstacles in the Big Apple--the ghosts of the Big Band Era, the pitfalls of commerce, and an abiding legacy of racism.
