| Summary: | Lancelot Layne explains why he is bringing Koo Nimo (Daniel Amponsah) to the welcoming ceremony of Orisha worship; Shepherd Isaac 'Sheppy' Lindsay and 'Queen' Pearlie Lindsay wait in doorway to welcome Koo Nimo (Daniel Amponsah) who enter and are anointed in the doorway and given something to drink while olive oil is sprinkled on Koo Nimo's feet. They enter and walk through a 'guard of honour' holding palm leaves and chanting into the main space. They are led by Pearlie Lindsay to greet the drummers; Shepherd Isaac 'Sheppy' Lindsay starts a chant and gives the drummers the beat, dancers dance, drummers beat and 'Sheppy' Lindsay beats a hoe blade; Lancelot Layne gives a speech to the gathering and asks Koo Nimo to speak; Koo Nimo (Daniel Amponsah) rises and speaks about his impressions of Trinidad and recounts the meeting by Lancelot Layne with the King of the Ashanti and his being named by the king; Lancelot Layne rises and speaks again and introduces some of those present: Andrew Beddoe; Koo Nimo (Daniel Amponsah) plays for the gathering.
