520 |a The presented video shows the basic steps of endoscopic lacrimal sac marsupialization in an atypical situation involving maxillary bone dominant fossa. The procedure is done for the epiphora resulting from an obstruction in the lacrimal drainage system. The viewers will be able to see the steps to approach an unprecedented situation that is likely to cause intraoperative difficulty. This video describes an atypical situation in endoscopic marsupialization of the lacrimal sac that surgeons come across. All those surgeons who are performing endonasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) would be curious to know about this atypical situation which is often encountered during surgery and can pose an intraoperative difficulty. This video will enhance understanding of this less discussed entity. Since it is not a routine practice to order lacrimal imaging prior to the endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy, this finding often comes as a surprise on the table. The video is aimed at ENT surgeons, rhinologists, oculoplastic surgeons, and ophthalmologists.
