Summary:In 1853-1854 Parker travelled through Europe with her husband, George A. Parker, and her daughter, sister, and brother. Parker's diary records the events of the last two months of the trip, which were spent in Paris and London. They set off from Boston Harbour on April 9, 1853, arriving in Liverpool on April 27. From there they went via rail to London, stopping at Chester. In London they spent time with Charles Dickens. In early June they left for a month's stay in Paris. Throughout the diary references are made to Parker's time in Italy and the sights they saw. Also manuscript copy of the diary with "preamble" and footnotes.
