William Goodell Frost, a native of LeRoy, New York, was an 1876 graduate of Oberlin College, remaining there to teach Greek until 1892. Having refused Berea s presidency in 1889, Frost reconsidered after the resignation of William B. Stewart and entered Berea s service in 1892.
