Georgia, Inferior Court, Lincoln county : State v Jess ; a slave;, October 1823.

The prisoner, a slave called Jess belonging to James Harving, was accused by Andrew Zellner of attempting to stab and murder George Zellner at the house of Mrs Sarah Strother. Guilty verdict. The prisoner was sentenced to be hanged.
