Oral history. Theodore Nelson

Theodore Nelson served in the navy aboard the USS PC-1086, a patrol craft used as a submarine chaser. Nelson and PC-1086 patrolled the Atlantic Ocean in search of German U-boats and escorting cargo vessels. They were later sent to Ulithi to take part in the invasion of Japan.
