Oral history. Roy Maples
Roy Maples served on the USS Ramapo (AO-12) during the war. He survived the attack on Pearl Harbor and remained aboard the ship to the end of the war. He used the trade he learned in the Navy to become a plumber/pipe and construction worker and also spent time as a bus driver.
