The plaintiff, Kitty, appealed against a conviction of murdering her master by administering poison. She was sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labour. Judgment was affirmed with Justice Alexander McKenzie Buchanan concurring and Justice James L Cole and Chief Justice Edwin T Merrick dissenting.
