Louisiana, Supreme Court, New Orleans : Morgan's Syndics v Fiveash, January 1830.

The plaintiff was suing the defendant for the value of a slave who drowned while cordelling a boat. This case was remanded for a retrial at the district court and the judgment was given there for the plaintiff. In this appeal the decision was reversed and the judgment entered for the defendant.
