Louisiana, Supreme Court, New Orleans : Saulet v Dreux's Syndics, May 1825.

The plaintiff purchased a slave from the defendants and now wished to be relieved of paying the promissory notes used in the purchase claiming that the sale was illegal. Judgment was given in favour of the defendants.
