Louisiana, Supreme Court, Opelousas : Sterling v Luckett, September 1828 [printed].

Sterling claimed the value of a slave killed by a slave owned by Luckett. There was a district court judgment given in favour of the defendant and in this appeal by the plaintiff was unsuccessful. Justice Porter affirmed the decision in favour of the defendant.
